This was what was written about Rachel and what she wrote after her 1st year placement in the Acute Medicine and Surgery Unit of Bolton Royal Infirmary: Comments by Fieldwork Supervisor: "Well done Rachel, overall you have behaved as an above average student on placement, you have shown excellent attitude to responsibility, professional relationships with clients and also with the multi-disciplinary team. Your competence with orthotics has been exceptional and it has been a pleasure observing such a good ability in the field. Good luck with your future studies and clinical placements." Rachel's Comments: "I have found this placement to be of the highest standard. I was encouraged to use my own initiative and asked questions wherever possible, in order to gain a wide degree of knowledge. My Supervisor and other staff were most helpful and I was not afraid to ask for help or advice about my own case load of patients. I think that I have learnt a great deal from this placement and would advise anyone considering going there for FP2 to do so without hesitiation."
